Hi Rita,Actually nothing is missing. Unfortunately, the way Peter put the alert together tends to make it appear that way. All the names and email addresses are there; however, a second link that takes you into a sample letter is not working. I should have completely redone the whole thing to look like this:PLEASE CONTACT THE SAME LEGISLATORS FOR BOTH SNARING AND CROSSBOW BILLS:SEND LETTERS / EMAILS TO:Chairman Robert Sweeney,

Environmental Conservation CommitteeLegislative Office Building 544

Albany, NY 12248EMAIL: Sweeney Speaker Sheldon Silver,New York State AssemblyLegislative Office Building 932Albany, NY 12248EMAIL: Speaker

Chairman Antoine Thompson,Environmental Conservation CommitteeLegislative Office Building 902Albany, NY 12248EMAIL: athompsoConference Leader John Sampson,New York State SenateLegislative Office Building 409Albany, NY 12248EMAIL: sampson

Points to make regarding CROSSBOW HUNTING:

Crossbows require less skill, strength and stamina than longbows

It attracts mostly the very young, the unskilled, the old, the infirm and the disabled.

Many of these hunters are not able to track wounded animals at great distances.

The crippling rate (animals hit but not recovered) for longbow hunting is 50%; permitting crossbows to be used would greatly increase the crippling rate.

Points to make regarding SNARING:

the

stress of restraint, which could include frustration, anxiety and

ragefear

of predation or capture while held by the snarefriction,

penetration and self-inflicted skin injuries whilst struggling pain,

thirst, hunger and exposure when restrained for long periodspain,

injury and reduced ability to survive that could persist following

escapestress

of capture and handling before dispatch by the snare operatorpain

and injury associated with killing by the snare operator if

unconsciousness is not immediate.If

used underwater to trap beavers it would bring about a slow

agonizing death by drowning
