There is a meeting with the Board of Commissions at Robeson on Thursday to discuss the requests of animal advocates for improvements at Robeson.Please email the county manager, county commissioners and local legislator and ask them for the following to be introduced:

Video/Webcam camera in the shelter 24/7 (simililar to the cameras at the Memphis Animal Shelter in TN)2. Animal cruelty at the staffs hands....have handling and compassion training.3. Adopters to have a valid ID and fill out paperwork to adopt a dog due to potential dog fighting rings and bait dogs.4. Must have one new Animal Advocate/Rescue Coordinator on staff to assit full time with adoption and handle paperwork.5. Implement New Foster Program at RCAS.6. Use Community Service Workers and non violent offenders to help clean, handle the animals, and so

they can re-pay the county of Robeson.7. Vet care provided by state law, initial assessment of injured or sick animals versus putting them down.8. Community education program in schools (i.e. spay and neuter)9. Shelter involvement in low cost spay and neuter programs!Please email them if you can.
