Please ask President Obama to support protection for whales

The United States is facing an important decision right now that will impact

thousands of whales' lives: they can either accept a deal with whaling nations

that would allow commercial whaling to resume, or reject the deal and look for a

better way forward to protect whales.

 

I just called President Obama and Vice President Biden and urged them to reject

that deal and instead support a phase out of commercial and scientific whaling.

Historically, the United States has been at the forefront of whale protection.

Please tell Obama that the U.S. needs to remain a leader regarding this issue.
