One has only to think of the baby seals in Canada, the rattlesnakes in

the US, the foxes still ripped apart alive in the UK despite new

legislation, the barbaric production of pate de foie in France - the

list goes on and on - to know that human cruelty knows no boundaries,

geographical or political, though the sheer amount of it for profit or

pleasure rather than hunger or need is unrivalled by any other species.
