Dear Friends,

A wishing you all a very Happy New Year -

The Latest updates from HOPE & Animal Trust - Ranchi - Jharkhand -

We have recieved a letter from Ranchi Municipal Corporation from the New

Administrator for using all available infrastarcture.

Some how there would not be any financial assistance but we will have

dog catching squad and clinic along with shelter facility.

This is really exciting - the New Administrator is nice and he would help us

in future looking at our work.

*However the RMC shelter is not like other Cities - it is just a shed like a

workshop with one big hall and a room where the cages are made up of the

iron net and iron angles (Approx – ten in numbers). *

*For dog catching – there is a three wheeler man pulling " rickshaw " – *

* *

*This is not at all with any facility - We will be able to perform

operations only - there are no postoperative care facilities – as there is

no caretaker or no one to look after the dogs after the office hours.

Moreover everyone knows how the govt. staff works - how the corruption part

plays a role-*

* *

*We will still be looking forward to work at our own working place stand -

on our own feet – cause I am only looking at the govt. support in the form

of manpower and the Government banner to get more and more work in an easy

way – without obstacles by the people's group (Non supportive at the time of

leaving the dogs in the similar locality)*

* *

*We can make use of the RMC manpower during the office hours only after this

we will have to look after by our own.*

* *

*People for Animal's used to work in the similar way – infact the RMC has

earlier given the responsibility of the shelter maintenance and running the

ABC program with the help of Govt. staff (the dog squad) – However now they

are not running the ABC program since last more than two months – so far the

responsibility still lies with PFA and we would be sharing all these

services with them.*

* *

*We are looking forward for a funding to carry the ABC program at our

surveyed areas. Also we are looking forward for a dog catching vehicle.*

I am confident with Vehicle and medicinal support we can also organise the

camps and awareness programs in the town to make people aware and go for

adoption.

On practical basis we have

operated 5 dogs and would be operating another 5 today. We have

raised funds by organising a picnik on the new year day- and Rs. 3000/-

three thousand have been collected - everything is going well in this

new year so far.

this will be very much cost effective and I think we will be able to

really do better in this way too - cause I will be spending more time

and I have an idea to get involved another local person for feeding the

dogs at nights.

I have a question to everyone that many organisations get funding - we are

genuine people - we have developed a infrastructure for the street dogs and

homeless cows - by raising funds - more than Rupees 3,00,000 - And now we

are ready for carrying the services - We have a kind request to all to

kindly help us cause there is no one to really help the street dogs in

Ranchi -

We have developed such a big infrastructure and now without the assistance

it would be difficult to carry on with the little fund raising.

Thanks for your time - and looking forward for Action -

Regards,
