Guest guest
Around twenty five cows taken from the streets of Guwahti city of Assam, India was freed by the volunteers of People for Animals group , the only working organisation working for sick and stray animals of Assam, these cows were later taken to the shelter home and hospital of the same and are doing pretty well there. The cows taken from the streets were kept in unhealthy conditions without food and water , besides that no shelter provided to fight the pangs of winter and the rain, several pregnant cows died by vomiting blood and few calves of dehydration. The animals are kept under such conditions that violate the rules of the cattle protection act of India ,1994, where it is clearly found that no pound can keep animals without providing the minimum requirements that are found in Goasala and cow shelters. These animals are later after a tortous stay at the pounds are sold off to butchers in the name of auction .The owners are charged so exorbitant fines when they come to take the animals home that they go back disheartened unable to pay the amt. This is a great bussiness for the persons incharge of the pounds and are making a lot of money by selling the animals. Where is the rule to sell animals with their owners waiting for them at their homes. Please help and write to the commissioner, Guwahati Municipal Coprporation,Uzan Bazar, Guwahati 781001, Assam, India. Autos. Looking for a sweet ride?
