Guest guest
Dear AAPN members, I am doing a story on the recent controversy regarding usage of animals in films in India for the Telegraph newspaper. I need to quote some people who are involved on all aspects of the issue, especially with regard to the debate between Sharmila Tagore and Maneka Gandhi(ie., 'films are needlessly being blocked' versus 'justifiably being blocked' views). Any person who is involved with the censor board regarding animals in Indian films would be welcome to comment. Any animal activist could also put in his views and I would also appreciate it if some people(preferably animal activists) from abroad who watch Indian films could comment on what they think about the issue. The deadline for my story is Wednesday so responses received by Tuesday would come in extremely helpful. If there are people willing to be interviewed by me and if they could let me know that would be very useful too. Inputs from Bombay would be particularly helpful. I know this is short notice but deadlines are an integral feature of journalism and if I miss it, the story gets spiked or gets covered by someone else. The Telegraph team thinks this is a very important issue and they want it out soon within the span of the issue being topical in the media. Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing form you. Best wishes, Yours sincerely,
