Ms Ford is now being threatened with deportation for apparently " bringing the reputation of Taiwan into disrepute " - although it can be no co-incidence that this comes close on the heels of Ms Ford giving very public interviews about the situation for marine mammals in Taiwan. If she is deported there will be no-one left who is able to continue this work and it would also send a strong message to other nations like Taiwan, on how to deal with others working on highlighting the issue of captivity and imports in the future. Please write to the following, explaining that Ms Ford cares very much for Taiwan and the Taiwanese people and it is for that reason she wants to help make it a better country. Urge them to intervene, stop Lee Anne's deportation, and help her continue this vital work in Taiwan. Since my release of the information to the Taiwanese public on the illegal beluga imports from the Russian Federation and Taiwan's Hualien Ocean Park's purchases from the Taiji drives, I have been constantly harrassed, and now I am being deported. This is what has happened: *A Canadian conservationist deported out of Taiwan for revealing Taiwan's participation in the Taiji drives/beluga imports to the Taiwanese public. * The speedy deportation. Monday told I was illegal, Tuesday had the hearing, thursday deported. They started my official deportation date from today, which is Friday. I have to be out of the country by next Friday. *The Hualien County Council's interview on Wednesday stating that I was illegal even though I was deemed illegal until thursday. * The Legislator Liu, Shou mei distributed a copy of my passport from my visa application and released it to the public and media, revealing my permanent address in Canada to the dolphinariums (i'm worried about that). The action alert should be sent directly to the President's office. The website address is http://www.president.gov.tw/en/ a cc of this should be sent to me at lincngo Please also stress to them to reveal the breakdown of events to the Taiwan representative office, and Canadian consulate in their area. If anything, I would like to see my deportation delayed. They are accusing me of working illegally in my school. A business I have own, was provided a licence are residency for, for the past four years. How obvious is it that I am being deported for exactly that less than one month after I revealed the facts to the public? It's weak. If you wish to email me for more information, please email me at lincngo Sincerely, Lee-Ann Ford Lee-Ann Ford Owner McCauley EQ & IQ Development Centre 973-# 55-8 Chian Road first section Hualien, Taiwan, R.O.C.
