No more meat at Neelamangla Tibetan Hostel (Bangalore) India

A Glimpse of Compassion

Neelamangala, Bangalore 24th May 2006: It was a warm evening, people

returning to their homes. The sun about to set, tall buildings silhouetted

against the horizon. '258C' was the Bus Number which brought 3 of the TVA

(Tibetan Volunteers for Animals) members to the Neelamangala Tibetan Hostel

which is about 45KM from Bangalore City. They had come not just to talk about

animal rights but also to pass a message of peace and non-violence to the

younger generation.

TVA screened the documentary " Law of Nature " on a small projector screen

with narrations from Rapsel Tsariwa. The Nelamangala hostel has a total strength

of 68 students, doing various vocational courses including Computer hardware,

Organic Farming, Beautician Courses etc. Managed by the Department of Home,

Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) Dharamsala; this project is aimed at

providing quality education and building a platform for the young Tibetans to

develop their skills and learn new things.

Rapsel in Action

Like all the other previous TVA campaigns, there was a positive change at

the Hostel. All the students decided to stop Meat in the hostel. 8 people signed

a lifetime commitment not to eat meatTVA expresses its heartfelt gratitude

towards everyone and especially towards Mr. Rinzin Namgyal, Managing staff for

his kind support and hospitality.

Millions of people around the world are adopting vegetarianism, including

pop stars, actors, musicians, athletes, celebrities; wont you join them?

Delighted to get this news. There is always a critical point when progress

suddenly takes off.

We are probably closer to this point than we realize.
