Guest guest
Dear All, Yesterday a group of strong members of the organisation, People For animals ,Guwahati,Assam was successful in rescuing " JAKANAS " ,endangered migratory birds that fly a long distance for food ,raising their little ones and many more.Three persons were on their way home with the birds with the intention of dressing their dinner plates ,the PFA group was right in time to apprehend them and rescue the birds ( that were later given first aid and treatment by wildlife experts). These birds come all the way from Siberia and occupy the lush green marshy area of the famous " DEEPAR BEEL " ,some twelve or more kms. from the GUWAHATI CITY this area is welknown for its lush green marshs and attract a large number of migratory birds. The JAKANAS were trapped from the DEEPAR BILL by the persons who were later handed over to thelocal police and an FIR was lodged agsainst them by the CHAIRPERSON, Sangeeta Goswami .At present, the three culprits, namely Md. saukat Ali,fazdur Ali and Syed Ali are located at the Guwahati Jail and will be there for at least some months because here the police are against such crimes and always take interest when such incidences happen in and around the city.Recently a college student,Bhasker Sharma was found to injure his neighbours dog with an axe and later it was thrown under a water supply pipe (huge) ,where water drips at a high speed.to die a pathetic and tortous death. The whole night the dog was under the drain and his half portion was still under water , the dog was fished out the next morning by PFA volunteers at the instruction of their Chairperson ,after it was administered first aid the dogr died . An FIR was lodged against this Bhaskar Sharma for such wanton cruelty that he caused the dog and made it suffer so much.He was arrested and is out on bail. Get on board.
