Guest guest Posted July 31, 2006 Report Share Posted July 31, 2006 i read and cut it down a chinese newspaper today, and there was column said: in a small county in yunan in southwest china, a woman was walking her little white dog in street in day time, suddenly a team of people came and mashed her dog to death! these groups of people formed dog slaughtering teams, killed any dogs in their place even those dogs who have already been vacinated and claimed to be safe from mad- dog disease! a villege man said to the reporter that slaughtering team came to every home everyday to search for dogs, and some of them used tricks like fireworks to attract dogs barkings to track their hiding places! he also added, some people hanged their home dogs and ate them! on the side column added : china killed 20milion(20000000) dogs in 2005! its 55(55000) thousands a day! since 2003, only in kanton province, every time an outbreak of any kind of diseases, people there would started their slaughtering of dogs or other animals they suspected! 2003 tonguan: killed all dogs in town 2003 moaming city: killed 21000 dogs 2004 kanton province : unpresidented large scale of slauatering dogs, killed over 60000 dogs 2004 oct: a small tonw in chejian, 3000 people volunteed to kill dogs 2005 tonguan: one case of mad-dog disease was found, but all dogs within 3 km were all slautered! there was a picture showing a dog was held by 3 big metal scissors by 3 men from a cage full of dogs! a hk medical person said to reporter that: if they dun eat dogs, if they dun eat wild animals, they wont get the disease from wild nature! and they wont have mad-dog diseases! its only bcos they eat them, in the process of handling they get virused! in a normal cases, people wont! and killing is not a suitable solution!
