Illegal timber supplier injured

TEZPUR, Aug 16 – One illegal timber supplier was seriously injured

and four buffalos were killed in Burachapori sanctuary in cross firing

with forest protection force.

 

On receipt of information that timber being illegally carried from the

sanctuary, a team of forest protection force reached the spot where

cross firing between the FPF and the poacher took place resulting in

serious injury to an illegal timber supplier and death of four

buffalos which were used for carrying of timber. The illegal carrying

of timber, poaching etc in the sanctuary has been going on for the

last seven years.
