I am fine here and hope the same for you.

I am working as a president of Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

(SPCA) Moradabad Distt.( SPCA is a animal welfare division, Govt. Of India)

As you know, 4 October is a “World animal day”. We celebrate this day as a

“world animal welfare day” in Moradabad for last 10 years. Every year on 4th

Oct, we organise a large free medical checkup and treatment camp for animal

welfare in city with the help of animal husbandry department. We provide free

medicines to animal owner. We provide free anti-rabies injections for pet and

street dogs also. We distribute leaflets and pamphlets regarding animal welfare

on this occasion also.

On this day, the slaughter houses and meat shops remains closed and on this day

slaughtering of animals in Moradabad district remains prohibited. Our society

has taken a permission for “one day banned on slaughtering of animals” and

“closing of slaughter houses and meat shops” from district administration of

Moradabad. This one day banned for slaughtering of animals, remains effective

since 1998.
