The Nalbari district,Superintendent of police ,Dilip kumar Dey,a custodian of

law,is found to flout all the rules framed for the protection of

animals,according to the prevention of cruelty to animals act,1960 (act 59 0f

the act) around twenty buffalos were sacrificed to appease the goddess Durga and

he being himself a police officer and inside the system itself sacrifced a

buffalo, and was found to carry the head ,of the animal dripping with

blood,towards the alter of the goddess and when asked he said this will go on

for ever and he also said that lets see who can really change it. the horrendous

act of the officer will set a horrible example for all and in the future we will

find our children carry the head of humans to satisfy the gods and
