I doubt there will be a response from the Egyptian end, but when the gorilla and chimpanzee were killed in 2001 CITES Geneva issued two press statements and they do seem to be taking this as seriously as they can under all of the constraints. Kenya Airways is the one group that is taking note of this, and while the Gulf News article only mentions them briefly, as you saw from the Africa Geographic article there is a far more serious problem then just this one case or even a handful of cases. .... a few hundred emails to the CEO would force a response from them, people could even ask that they put something up on their website ...
