Guest guest
Hi All, We recently switched doctors and my daughter is needs a tetanus booster. I requested a Mercury/Thimerosol free vaccine, and was told that tetanus does not contain this. Before I start researching this, does anyone have a definitive answer? Thank you!! Guest guest
At least some do contain thimerosal. The best way to find out is to read the vaccine package insert. You could either do that while at the doc's office or call and ask the exact brand/name vaccine they use and look it up. For example the Sanofi Pasteur brand contains the full amount (25mcg) of mercury. Found here at the Johns Hopkins website: http://www.vaccinesafety.edu/thi-table.htm If your particular vaccine is not on that list (it's not exhaustive) you should be able to find the insert on the drug company's website. Good luck! , robin koloms <rkoloms wrote: > > Hi All, > > We recently switched doctors and my daughter is needs a tetanus booster.
