I have a brownie recipe that calls for one cup of applesauce. I was

making them yesterday and had some leftover pumpkin puree from something

we'd made the day before, so I used that instead of applesauce. The

brownies are excellent, and you can't taste or see the pumpkin at all.

We like pumpkin, but I was thinking this would be a good way to get a

good veggie into very picky eaters! The same recipe has a cup of pureed

tofu in it (and I used 100% whole wheat pastry flour, and threw in some

ground flax... my poor kids, even their brownies are health food ;-)).

We've have always used dried cranberries in our pumpkin cookie recipe --

I will have to try them with chocolate or carob chips!

Do you have a recipe? I love carob (more than chocolate, actually), as does

our son. Would love to have another fall treat to make!
