Guest guest
It will pass!! At this age, food is still more about the experience than the nutrition. She is developing quickly and starting a very long process of testing limits (ask me about my 12 year old!). Frozen peas and blueberries are good to roll around and maybe even eat. Just keep offering a variety and hope she keeps napping. Robin Karen <kbkbrocks wrote: Good morning, I've been stuggling over the past week or so with my 12 month old and her eating habits. She doesn't seem to want to eat anything but fruit based things. She eats a few bites of carrots, sweet pot. and other veggies, or carbs, pasta and such, i'm trying to offer and then refuses them, turns her head, gets angry. I've tried to not immediately offer her fruit then but I also want her to get enough nutrition. She still breastfeeds once or twice a day and takes formula twice a day. Her weight gain is ok as well. I guess I'm just in need of a little reassurance. Will this pass? Thanks for your feedback, Karen Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Search. Guest guest
I think this was the age where we dipped everything in applesauce. We could usually get a few bites of something diverse/nutritious into my son that way. Mostly, it's more about your perseverance than your baby's nutrition. Keep offering the good food along with the fruit, and try not to look like you care too much if she eats it (that was our mistake for awhile and the source of a bit of power struggle). If you have a dog, this will be a good time to make sure at least someone is getting that nutritious food you're offering your daughter! (just not grapes or raisins- toxic to dogs) Good luck, Kate : rkoloms: Thu, 13 Dec 2007 06:41:30 -0800Re: 12 month old picky eater It will pass!!
