Guest guest
Wow Marilyn! This is all so incredibly helpful. I hadn't thought about adding leafy greens to smoothies, guess I'd think it would taste bad, but I will try that. I appreciate knowing what you consider to be a serving. Gabriel seems to eat only a few bites of anything, and throw the rest off the tray, but I've started offering more than 3 meals a day, so at least he gets those few bites more frequently. I will check out all of the sites you sent. Christina sahmomof8 Sat, 5 Jan 2008 10:46:54 -0500 Re: Meal Plans/tons of great websites for veggie families In a message dated 1/4/2008 3:29:31 P.M. Guest guest
I'm trying to get the lbs on my vegan 16 month old son as well.? Lots of your ideas have been great & I'm trying to incorporate smoothies.? My problem is what to give them to him in?? I regular cup & deal with the berry mess?? I'd like to give him his smoothie when he's not in the highchair so he can work at it b/n meals.? I've tried cutting holes in sippy cups, but that was a flop when he flipped it upside down.? Any ideas from you smoothy makers who have successfully incorporated them into your toddler's eating routine would be great. stacey sahmomof8 Sat, 5 Jan 2008 7:46 am Re: Meal Plans/tons of great websites for veggie families In a message dated 1/4/2008 3:29:31 P.M. Guest guest
Try freezing the smoothie. Stir it about every 20-30 minutes (if you remember), until it can be eaten with a spoon. If your son is healthy, happy, and otherwise meeting developmental milestones, I would not worry about the weight. insanepup wrote: I'm trying to get the lbs on my vegan 16 month old son as well.? Guest guest
I pour the smootie in a Nuby sippy cup and add a bit more rice milk, then shake it up and he drinks it thru the sippy cup. insanepup Tue, 8 Jan 2008 04:06:45 -0500 Re: Meal Plans/tons of great websites for veggie families I'm trying to get the lbs on my vegan 16 month old son as well.?
