Guest guest
Someone on another list was asking for cookbook recommendations. I gave her a few of my favorites, and then realized that probably others would be interested in this information, too. All the cookbooks are vegan. Most (but not all) are largely fat free or gluten free. All are easily adaptable, if need be, and have recipes acceptable to just about anyone's special dietary needs. My favorites are: Newstart Lifestyle Cookbook by the Weimar Institute--One of my well used books, excellent basic everyday recipes and nutritional information the McDougall Quick and Easy Cookbook--My favorite McDougall book, well used and enjoyed any of the raw vegan books by Julie Wandling--very family friendly, Christian perspective (check out her website at _www.Healthy4Him.com_ (http://www.healthy4him.com/) ) Alive in 5 by Angela Elliott--raw vegan, quick and easy, great simple ideas! Raw Foods for Busy People by Jordan Maerin--simple, quick, tasty dips, snacks, soups, desserts, etc. The Joy of Natural Cooking by Marcella Lynch--my first vegan cookbook, stained and battered with use (might be hard to find--she has an updated version on her website _http://www.tagnet.org/tasteofnature/index.html_ (http://www.tagnet.org/tasteofnature/index.html) ) . Also available--great vegan cooking videos (Seventh Day Adventist perspective) HTH! Marilyn **************Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape. http://body.aol.com/fitness/winter-exercise?NCID=aolcmp00300000002489
