Guest guest
I don't give my children a choice and they have never questioned me. Do you live anywhere near a dairy? We drive by one quite often and are able to show the children tiny calves in the paddock, separated from their mothers. As my children were breastfed, we link this with the situation the calves find themselves in, unable to access their mother's milk and comfort. This makes it quite real for the children. They play lots of mummy and babies games with their toy animals and reall recognise that mothers and babies need to be together. They enjoy vegan cheeses. Have you tried The Uncheese Cookbook? I don't like them to miss out on things that their friends are having, so always try to have something vegan available that is just as good so I can say, for example, we don't have dairy chocolate, but here is a soy/dark chocolate bar you can have. We don't do lollies too often though. Karen
