I've heard of FlyLady, Saving Dinner and the menu mailer. A friend of mine

told me about Flylady a while back (several years) and she and I did OAMC

for a little while (Once A Month Cooking - also referred to as Freezer

Assets and I think maybe one more I can't recall) but we did it for 2 weeks

at a time, not a month - it was easier to start out, and worked pretty well

- it was the cooking all day once a week that was harder to nail down for

us- I don't doubt it saved time, or anything, we just had trouble

coordinating for a while and then it faded away. I think mostly it was that

we were transitioning to being vegetarians at the time, too so it was harder

to find stuff that both of our families would eat (I think at the time we

didn't have our son, but she had a 4 or 5 year old daughter and her spouse

and daughter were/are very picky eaters)

I didn't realize they also had vegetarian dishes for the mailers (the OAMC

had 'vegetarian plans' I found through various searches online - many I

think would be easy to convert to vegan if I recall - I don't have them

saved anywhere and that was years ago, on a (now) ancient computer. LOL). I

have been wanting to get back into my own menu-planning for a while now.

Thanks for the reminder of this stuff!
