Guest guest
Hello everyone, My name is krissie and I am new to the group, so I thought i would introduce myself. I am a 25 year old female from England-Liverpool. I have been a strict veggie for 15 years. I live with my boyfriend who is a punk rocker and luckily a veggie too . He works in construction, whilst I am a stay at home mum. We have a 4 year old daughter, who just started reception school in September. Well, we are raising her veggie, which was relatively easy whilst she was a baby but its getting difficult the older she gets. My daughter is such a clever little girl, but she has some speech and language problems, so at times it can be difficult explaining things to her. Luckily the school do a veggie option for hot dinners, but there is always the problem of sweets!! The school give sweets away as praise (which i think is ridiculous!) and I am the only parent who doesn't allow them to give sweets to their kid. I feel mean on her sometimes, but I really don't want her eating ground up animal bones, etc! And of course kids bring sweets in on their birthdays etc too. People around my area can be pretty closed minded, and i guess they have never questioned why they eat meat, they look at me like I am a lunatic sometimes, hehe. Well, I have tons of hobbies, here is just a random list: Yoga, reiki, aromatherapy, alt. therapies, Penpalling, swapping, (fbs/decos/stickers,etc), scrap booking, creativity, joss sticks, candles, cinema, movies, world/Euro cinema, manga, cooking/baking, music, seeing friends/family, restaurants, animals (we have 2 cats), internet, email.....i could go on and on!! Looking forward to getting to know everyone better, and I am sure I will make lots of nice new friends in this group. *hugs* Krissie xx x xx
