Guest guest
> We spread out vaccines and our doctor special-ordered preservative- free. < I have never heard of the preservative free vaccines! I am calling the insurance company today about the kids Dr. I will see who they have that maybe more open to vegie lifestyles. That way I can ask some more questions about the vaccines. I did get an insert for Chicken Pox and the nurse told me MANY people/parents refuse the vaccine, because it has fetal serum, and it is against their religion to inject human tissue in the body. There were a few websites I found about the vaccines. I would just like newer info.. and hopefully I can get some inserts from the new Dr. http://www.rense.com/general59/vvac.htm That site was sent to me, to explain the mercery et in vaccines, BUT I found most have animal tissue/skin/blood. Including human aborted tissue. As a Vegie person, I told my Dr I did not feel comfortable putting chemicals and animal/human tissue in my little baby. He said some rude comments and I just asked for the inserts.. only was given the chicken pox one.

Why were you only given the chicken pox insert? Was that the only vaccine you questioned, or the only one you would have been giving to your child that visit? You might not need to see all the inserts at once, until and unless you DO question a particular vaccine. But I still think you were treated pretty poorly. Bad doctors (and office staff) should be told in no uncertain terms just how their conduct is unprofessional, and how your family deserves better. And some need to be reported to the AMA. Guest guest
We skipped the chicken pox vaccine. We were planning to get Alyssa tested at around 12, and then vaccinated, but she had the pox before then. For a healthy kid with a normal immune system, there is nothing wrong with chicken pox. Guest guest
We have not had the pox vaccine, but we did spread the others out (and I think just by us being forgetful, we were on an extended schedule anyway. heh) My son has been exposed once to chicken pox but didn't get it (though he did run a feaver but we never saw any spots, so he might have the antibodies). My FIL had shingles, but when we were there, he was already healing and everything, so probably not something he could have had an exposure to (I wish they would have told us earlier in the week, because I would have totally tried for the exposure naturally). We're still waiting for the pox - I'm on one of the chicken pox parties lists, but they we either didn't have a car at the time or it was just not possible. Our family doctor PREFERS children to get it naturally and is very skeptical when the vaccines all wear off what could happen. She won't give the vax (and she even wrote us a note so we could opt out of the barrage of shots when when our circumstances were different and we were seeing her and getting shots at the children's clinic and using the children's health care plan from the state). She would love for us to get it naturally, but our son will have to get the vax when he's school aged (state mandate, only religious exemptions, but I've seen wordings that 'could' work for us maybe if it comes down to that. But at a private school, they also might not ask for records of that stuff - so we'll see what happens in the fall...as it could be a whirlwind of seeing doctors for back up notes for not only the chicken pox vax but for our diet as well - depending on where we end up sending our son. Heh). I think if we're told we have to get the chix vax (if we can wait longer,we will), I may have him have the titer test done to see if he's already got immunity, since he was exposed and maybe had fought it off. I know I was exposed 3 times (several/many years between exposures) before I caught it (when I caught them, I was in high school, caught them from babysitting my baby cousins who had it at the time - not when I was a little kid and was exposed 2x and not from my brother who had it a year or so before I caught it, also around the same age I was when I had them a year later - strange,eh). So he may just 'naturally' be immune to it, or maybe that slight feaver he had was him fighting it off and doing a good job of it. (the case I had as a teen was also really not that terrible, I only recall a handful of spots, nothing really all that terrible). Guess we'll find out. Guest guest
You may want to look further into the religious exemption in your state. Most private schools I have found either adhere to the same state requirements for vaccines, or they (because they are private) can actually decide not to honor a religious exemption. A religious exemption is for anyone who has a sincere religious conflict with vaccination. A religious objection may be expressly implied by religious denomination or it may be based on an individual's own moral/spiritual conscience to live God's Word. Just about any religion can qualify for the exemption - There is no scriptural support for injecting poisons or any virus into the bloodstream to cure or prevent disease. Just about every religion refers to keeping the body blemish-free so that we may have abundant life. And technically, the state cannot ask you for proof of the religious belief. If you need more information nvic.org is a great resource. ~Susan On Apr 16, 2008, at 9:18 PM, Missie Ward wrote: > but our son will have to get the vax when > he's school aged (state mandate, only religious exemptions, but > I've seen > wordings that 'could' work for us maybe if it comes down to that. Guest guest
Hi Missie, From my understanding, it is illegal in most (or even all?) states for the school to ask what your religion is when you use a vax waiver to say you are religiously opposed to vaccinations, or selective vaccinations. So, thus, a religious waiver is merely that you state your religious beliefs are in opposition, the end, no questions asked. Personally, I " religiously " worship my child's body and am " religiously " opposed to poisons in his body. :-) (No reason to mention my total lack of religious beliefs - " religious " can also mean very seriously convicted/committed.) Guest guest
We take our son to Dr. Feder and her practice. She is a homeopath as well as an M.D. She has a great book on vaccinations and Natural Childcare if anyone is interested- I highly recommend them. _____ On Behalf Of sahmomof8 Wednesday, April 16, 2008 10:54 AM Re: vaccines Questions..
