Guest guest
I do not have diabetes, but I have seen a LOT of information about vegan/raw vegan diets helping, or curing type 2 diabetes, and greatly helping those with type 1. Diabetes seems to be almost the most curable " chronic " illness out there, if all I've read is valid (and I believe it is)! It is addressed in the literature of Dr. John McDougall (he has testimonies on his website as well--and a few great DVD's), Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, and it's covered quite a bit at Hallelujah Acres (www.hacres.com)--a Christian vegan organization. Hallelujah Acres carries tons of books and DVD's in their bookstore, on all sorts of health related issues, including some specific to diabetes. They also have a section on their website giving testimonies of cures of all sorts of very serious and chronic conditions using diet. VERY inspiring and amazing to hear so many people being cured of stage four cancers, macular degeneration, lupus, and all sorts of other devastating illnesses--all because they chose to believe that what they ate affected their health! Some of their resources are Christian, some are not, just to give a heads-up to those who need it. Anyway, all this is just to say that diabetes does NOT, apparently, have to be a permanent condition in every case--or even the majority of them. And using beef and " protein shakes " to help it is certainly NOT going to give the results wanted. Hope this helps someone. Marilyn
