Guest guest
Just wanted to mention two things about the Brewer diet I was talking about in my previous post. First of all, the original Brewer diet reflects the views of Dr. Brewer--he was VERY pro-milk and meat. But PLEASE don't let that discourage you from doing this diet in either the ovo-lacto or vegan form. The diet is still entirely valid, regardless of Dr. Brewer's dietary biases! They do stress that it is much harder to get the nutrients they deem necessary, on a vegetarian or vegan diet. But most of us already KNOW we might need to work harder to obtain optimal nutrition on a meatless diet anyway, and we're used to that, so this should be no surprise to anyone. Secondly, I just wanted to give the information as to how I found the vegan and ovo-lacto versions of the diet. I did a " search " for " vegan plan Brewer diet " . Several plans popped up immediately. I had a harder time finding them through the Brewer website for some reason, so I just wanted to mention that. The Brewer site does have a nice checklist available that you can print out, to post on your refrigerator, to insure that you meet your daily requirements. I found this helpful when I did the diet. Anyway, just wanted to clarify those things, for anyone who needed the information. I didn't want anyone to see the original diet, with all the meat and dairy stressed, and get discouraged and not look any further into it. Hope this helps someone!
