Guest guest
I was wandering what any of you could recommend as far as natural things to use for cuts, sore throats, anything homeopathic. If there are any books or websites that any of you really use or trust. I am just beginning this and feeling very overwhelmed. Thank you so much! Guest guest
Smart Medicine for a Healthier Child is a gold mine for us! It explains a " disease " , normal immune response without treatment. conventional treatment options, herbs, acupuncture and homeopathy, as well as dietary suggestions. I think there is also one for adults, but I haven't picked it up yet. I use a Calendula ointment on scrapes and such, and an Arnica cream for bumps and bruises. Breastmilk is an amazing thing that can cure a variety of things from ear infections to pinkeye, to cuts & scrapes, and the list goes on! I also like Diease Proof your Child, for prevention... Guest guest
Just an FYI - EmergenC is not vegetarian - it contains D3 which is from an animal. " When a fortified food or supplement label says “vitamin D,” or “cholecalciferol,” that means the origin was animal (generally fish, but sometimes from sheep wool, hides, or other animal parts such as cattle brains). Guest guest
I think this information is at least partially wrong. All the searching I've done indicates that the regular Emergen-C packets are fine, however the Emergen-C specifically for Joint Health is not (Glucosamine derived from crustacean shellfish and Chondroitin from bovine source). Some of the lonzenges and immune system products have honey too. Also, Vegan Essentials sells the regular energy packets, as do several other online veg*n sites. I have to assume they've researched it in depth as well, as they commit to selling only vegan products. Guest guest
I guess it depends on which EmergenC - the only ones available in my area have D3 so we do not use them. I wasn't aware they had others without D3. ~Susan On Apr 24, 2008, at 1:16 PM, Heather Clark wrote: > I think this information is at least partially wrong.
