Bible/Defending ourselves

I totally agree that we as vegetarians/vegans are not victims. We are

making informed choices, based on our knowledge and beliefs.

I think that any time the Bible is being used to argue or defend

oneself it is not being used the way it was intended. The Bible is a

way to bring us closer to God and others, not a wedge to drive between

us.

If I need to 'defend' my food choices, I don't use the Bible as a

weapon, even if it's being used against me. And, I certainly don't

think it's a 'sin' to not eat meat. We have free will, and I think not

eating meat is probably a good use of my free will (unlike eating

chocolate, which, for me, is not a good use of my free will...)

It's great to have a group like this, where we are at least on the same

page of being vegetarian/vegan.
