Here's another article about the dangers of raising children vegan.

There are a number of points in this article that I think are crying out

for a response -- i.e. it talks about animal proteins as " high

biological value " proteins, and it says non-animal proteins must be

combined and makes it sound as though that's highly complicated. It also

says " Without sufficient iron, vegans and vegetarians can become

anaemic. " -- hmm, seems to me that ANYONE can become anaemic without

sufficient iron, and I believe I have heard that anaemia is no more

prevalent among veg*ns than the general population -- please correct me

if that's not true. It also says that calcium is often lacking in vegan

diets and needs to be taken as supplements.

Urg, it's no wonder our families freak out when we go vegan with all

these negative articles full of half-truths or full-out wrong

information! Anyone out there with facts at hand and a bent for advocacy

who likes to respond to things like this?
