Guest guest
I have noticed a lot of emails lately about concerns of certain nutrition deficiencies in our diets or our little ones diets. I recently logged my total intake, and my sons total intake on nutrtitondata.com and found that without a multivitamin, we are getting very close to 100% of USRDA of just about everything (except B12 and D - but we live in FL so we get our D by being in the sun daily). We also are eating about 90% raw vegan. I don't agree with the amounts the US RDA states as truly required, so I use the WHO numbers - ie I believe the calcium recommendation by US RDA is pushed by the dairy industry, so I go with WHO recom. which is about half of US RDA, but my diet still exceeds this recom. - there are other examples of this too. I guess I just wanted to suggest if you are really concerned about deficiencies, maybe track a week or so of intake in nutritiondata.com and then see where you or your LO may need more vitamins or minerals. ~Susan
