Guest guest
The only ones we have found that are vegan are Boca regular chicken nuggets as well as Buffalo patties - but they may/may not have GMO soy - you have to check the box. Some say non GMO soy right on the box. The Boca buffalo nuggets have eggs, and the Boca regular patties have eggs. Boca is pretty easy to find - even our Super Target carries those. Health Valley also makes a buffalo and reg. vegan " chicken " nugget. We have only found those in the smaller local HFS - not at places like Wild Oats/Whole Foods. Good luck in your search! Guest guest
One thing I have noticed is that brands such as Boca seem to produce several different versions of their products. So, Whole Foods gets the organic or at least non-GMO version, but Costco or Target gets the unmarked and thus possibly GMO version. Guest guest
I think the Boca " American Grillers " (I think that's the kind) is vegan. I've seen them both - ORiginal and the American Griller. I don't know if they're available in all areas or not. Another thing to look for, for meat sub's is the Morning Star Strips. They have a 'chicken' style and a 'beef' style. I've seen some packages that were vegan and some that were not (I don't recall if it was dairy and/or egg) but maybe they were switching from that to vegan. We've gotten them a few times, but I think my homemade seitan is better (of course). They're handy in a pinch/quick meal addition though. Guest guest
Another thing we used to do instead of store bought nuggets was take seitan (either homemade or store bought) and bread and fry that - just as good as a nugget.Just an idea...
