We avoid them in everything anyway because our son reacts very negatively to them ...namely calcium propionate and the Calcium stearoyl-2-lactylate. (I think both are also made from cow milk protein, though according to FAAN they have no milk protein in them anymore so milk allergic people could have them, but that was not the case for us, as anything derived FROM milk makes him act/react the same way - could be coincidence, but not having that stuff in our house makes it a happy house). I'm glad that the Trib put this out there, thanks for sending this to the list. I'm going to pass it along.
