Guest guest
Hi Everyone- I thought it was time to finally introduce myself. Married, three girls, ages 15 weeks, 24 months, barely 5 y/o. Former teacher, now stay at home mom. I've been a vegetarian (sometime vegan) for over 20 years, since Easter when I was 14. I saw that leg of lamb sitting on the table, all festive-like, and thought, " Nope, never again. " It was tough, as I've mentioned before, to educate my family, but all is well now. After much discussion, my semi-vegetarian husband (occasional meat, never pork or beef)agreed to have our kids be raised veggie. They, as a result, have never set foot in a fast food place (does the whole foods sandwich counter count?). Most people look at me like I'm from Mars when I tell them this, but I know you all have similar stories. At any rate, I've enjoyed reading and commenting along, and if my posts are in all lower case, it means I was probably holding a baby and typing at the same time... cheers! jenni
Guest guest
Thanks for your intro, Jenni. That's interesting about your children never having set foot in a fast food restaurant: I actually like using them on the road for two reasons (other than convenience). One, because my son always comments on how disgusting it smells, and two, to drive up their water bills just a little bit more.
