Jaqueline, Waxed paper is a great way to protect the food and still be kind to the environment. Laura **************It's only a deal if it's where you want to go. Find your travel deal here. Guest guest
Wax bags are great! I buy some made from recycled paper; I think they carry them at Target, definitely at whole paychex. Now, on to my question. To be blunt, I don't want to keep sticking my husband's sandwiches for his lunch he takes to work everyday in a those plastic bags! He doesn't want to use containers with lids, because he says it would be hard for him to eat the sandwich on the road (he drives a delivery truck). He likes something like the bag, because he can hold it around the bag as he eats the sandwich, keeping his grubby work fingers off the sandwich. So... does anyone have any ideas of an environmentally friendly non-plastic alternative that would allow him to still hold that wrapper around the food as he eats it? Thanks a lot in advance for any suggestions! Jacqueline
Guest guest
Jacqueline, I swear by the wrap-n-mats. I use them for my son, my husband and myself. You may have to check back to find a plain print that your husband will like, they cater to some fun children friendly prints, but these are so easy to use (and they are fabric and plastic so he should be able to hold the sandwich just fine, my son eats out of them all the time)! Just wipe off/ clean when through, dry and store. I love ours.. hope you try it. We have had ours for over a year and they are still going strong. http://www.wrap-n-mat.com/about-us-i-5.html Paige _____ On Behalf Of Jacqueline Bodnar Thursday, August 28, 2008 10:19 AM healthy alternative for plastic sandwich bag Hi everyone, First let me say that I really enjoy this group! Guest guest
The company, Natural Value, makes an unbleached waxed paper sandwich/snack bag 6 " x 8 " . They come in a box of 60 and I get them at Whole Foods here in AZ. http://www.naturalvalue.com/PDFs/waxedpaper.pdf , " Jacqueline Bodnar " <jb wrote: > > Hi everyone, > > First let me say that I really enjoy this group! > > Now, on to my question.
