I saw a similar news article once and read the comments afterwards, mostly by meat eaters, and it hadn't made an impact. most of the comments were sarcastic or arogant, things you would expect from those that do not understand or do not care. then, there are people like my sister...she thinks that by me not eating meat, I am contributing to the waste of meat that goes bad " if you eat it, it won't go bad. you are causing cows to die for nothing.
