L'il Critters Omega 3 no longer vegetarian

I am so bummed.

When I went to Costco to buy another bottle of the L'il Critters Omega 3

gummy-type vitamins, I checked the ingredients, as always. This time, it listed

" gelatin " . I checked a number of the bottles, thinking there might be old and

new formulations. Couldn't find any that were veggie, even though there were

two slightly different labels on the bottles. Checked our old bottle at home

and that definitely DID NOT say gelatin on it.

So, somehow, since I last checked with the company, they've changed their

formula or finally admitted that they do indeed put gelatin in them.

Darn it.

I had a really hard time finding vegetarian vitamins the last time I tried to

get vitamins for my daughter.  I went to CVS and I got a vegetarian formula

generic multivitamin and they also had a generic version of the little critter's

omega 3 supplement and it doesn't have gelatin in it.  None of the name-brand

stuff was vegetarian.  You might try CVS.

Hi Liz,

We have recently discovered " Voots. " They are an all natural dietary

supplement for kids, made from fruits and veggies. My son loves them. :)

I thought the Trader Joe's one was vegetarian but now I've looked at the label

it doesn't actually SAY it is. And I can't decipher all of those ingredients.

Hmmm

The CVS multivitamin gummies say Vegetarian formula.  The CVS version of the

little critters says the same ingredients that the lil' critters used to say and

it comes from algae and no gelatin.

I did try CVS recently, but didn't find what you're mentioning. Now that I've

heard your story, I'm going back with a fine toothed comb!

I emailed L'il Critters to ask why but haven't heard back yet. I'll let y'all

know when/if they respond.

Thanks for the clue,

New Chapter Organics makes an organic vegetarian " pixie " style childrens

vitamin in berry or apple flavor. My daughter loves them! Not sure

about vegan, I'll e-mail them & ask, but I do know for certain they are

organic & vegetarian.

I sell vegetarian multivitamins for adults and children

(might-a-mins), it also contains no wheat, soy, yeast, gluten,

artificial flavors, starch, salt, preservatives or milk. Not to be a

commercial, but...it comes in isotinic form, which means that when

mixed with the proper amount of water, it comes in powder form, it is

in the same fluid state as your body fluids (ie. tears). Therefore it

is absorbed within 10 minutes into your body and it has a 90%

absorbtion, unlike pills which have less than 50%, if at all.

Anyways, anyone can check them out, if you want to know all the

science behind them at my web portal: www.befreelivetoday1.com

On the left side there is a health and nutrition line, click on that

and scroll down to isotonix and it will be there.

My children have always taken it and when I was pregnant with my

(now)8yo, I took the adult multitech witamins and did not have to take

those " horse pills " because these vitamins had MORE of what my body

needed than those things. My children ask for them and when their

friends sleep over they ask for them also!

They are CVS Pharmacy brand so they should have them at all the stores I would

think.  The multi-vitamin says " GUMMY SWIRLS: Great Tasting & Vegetarian

Approved Multi-Vitamin & Mineral Supplement " and the omega-3 says " GREAT TASTE!

OMEGA-3 GUMMY FISH with DHA Brain Booster*... "

I was at CVS today and the ingredient list has now changed on their generic

brand from what I have at home.  I wonder why they've done this?
