Melody, I have a Fagor multi-something or other. The new pressure cookers have three safety valves, and are *nothing* like the old jiggle-top cookers. I have used mine for 4 or 5 years now, at least three times a week, with nary an incident. If you are the queen of clutz, DH is the king, and he's even used it on occasion (with explicit instructions of course) without a problem. YOU CAN DO IT! :-) Amy

It makes the transition so much easier for a new vegetarian. I make my own burgers but I keep some of the alternative products on hand because it's nice to have a tasty quick fix meal too. Sometimes I like to perk up my spaghetti sauce with Tofurky Italian sausage. I also enjoy the crunchy waterchestnuts and red pepper flakes in the Asian burger by Morningstar. > > Another thing you can do with riblets is make a nice spiced up lentil stew, toss some potatoes in it and add a chopped up riblet, it really makes a hearty stew. Guest guest
Hi, DH plans to get me a pc for a holiday gift. I have been looking at the Kuhn and Fagor because they seem like the safest. I am leaning toward the Kuhn turn valve for ease and the 7 qt. for size. Does anyone have experience with the turn valve? Is it better than the other valves on the Kuhn or Fagor? What about size? I understand most recipes are for 6 qt cookers. There is only 3 in our family and the Kuhn site said the 3.5 qt. would feed 3-5. Can I cook smaller amounts in the 7 qt. or do I need to fill the cooker each time I use it? Does anyone have experience using different brands and can advise which was better for her/him? Thanks, Carrol
