Guest guest
The U.S. FDA is urging the government to amend its advisory that women and children should limit how much fish they eat. They argue that the benefits of seafood outweigh the health risks and that most people should eat more fish, even if it contains mercury. However, the FDA's recommendations have alarmed scientists at the Environmental Protection Agency, who in internal memos criticized them as " scientifically flawed and inadequate " and said they fell short of the " scientific rigor routinely demonstrated by the EPA. " The FDA sent its draft report... The regulators are controlled by industry lobbies. Guest guest
Well, I don't have so much of a problem with cigarettes- as long as people don't do it around me. That's a known risk. We all partake in those every day- from driving a car, to drinking out of that fountain at the park, It's when the government willingly puts its own constituents at risk for the sake of free enterprise- and doesn't want us informed of that risk. I think I sound like a real nut when I discuss the dangers of the FDA and the USDA-among others- with people who are uninformed about such things. Oh well. --- On Tue, 1/6/09, robin koloms <rkoloms wrote: robin koloms <rkoloms Re: FDA Tells Pregnant Women it's OK to Consume Mercury!
