Truly I am at a loss on this one. Why would using manure in your garden

be unethical or not vegan? We have a happy family of chickens that keep

our garden bug free ...and I am really not sure what I would do with

all of the chicken poo if it didn't go into my dirt mixture. The same

with our family horse. Yes, we are vegan. No, we do not eat eggs.

The manure that comes from your happy backyard chickens is very different

from what one buys in packages at the store, which can be considered a

factory farm byproduct much like leather.

I was always under the impression that there were potential risks with using any

animal waste on foods.  We have fairly good soil here, and compost kitchen

scraps for fertilizer.
