Guest guest
My (not-quite) 3yr-old told me she wants to color eggs - they were talking about it at pre-school. Any suggestions for replacement " eggs " ?
Guest guest
I believe that if you search PETA and Easter ideas, you'll find something. At our house, we dye turnips, which is silly and weird but a cherished family tradition. Marla > My (not-quite) 3yr-old told me she wants to color eggs - they were talking > about it at pre-school. Guest guest
How about making paper mache eggs, and painting them? Or clay eggs, with air drying clay. Or of course there are always plastic eggs, if you are not opposed to buying plastic. Guest guest
Hi Melissa, We've painted wooden eggs from the craft store, with regular craft paint - and use them for decorations each year. ('Course, with full disclosure, we're lacto-ovo's and do real eggs, too - but these wooden ones are our favorites.) Have fun! Guest guest
You might try to see if your child will go for coloring wooden eggs with paint. Not too traditional, but it seems so much more fun! Also, you could get the plastic eggs and then get a plastic cover, the ones that you dip in boiling water for a few seconds. Of course, that might not be too much fun since you would have to dip it. Maybe call a craft shop and see if they sell empty eggs. I think I saw some once, if you are not opposed to that idea. Good luck!
