Guest guest
It shoud be good for at least five days. Hummus lets you know when iti's time to toss it, it will start to lose flavor, and then taste a little carbonated (like bad orange juice) when it's bad. --- On Sat, 3/21/09, MECHELLE <myshadyboyz wrote: MECHELLE <myshadyboyz Hummus... Guest guest
Can hummus be frozen? I also just made my first batch a couple of days ago. Guest guest
I don't see why not? I would start by freezing a small amount for a few days and see how it tastes; the texture may change, but I can't imagine why it wouldn't taste good. --- On Mon, 3/23/09, Diane Bernard <dianesbernard wrote: Diane Bernard <dianesbernard Re: Hummus... Guest guest
Freezing is absolutely fine. I know of one commercial manufacturer that freezes their hummus before it is sent out to shops. I make a big batch and put two or three tubs in the freezer. Does not change the flavour or texture at all. Karen -- Bite Global Warming - Live Vegan!
