Guest guest
Hello all, Thank you for allowing me in this group. I just wanted to give a little introduction. My name is Unita and i have 3 children. I am a sahm and homeschooling mom. We live in the country in central virginia on 3 acres. We began this journey 2 yrs ago shortly after my husband retired from the Navy. We love gardening and are slowly adding more and more to our property. We have 6 cherry bushes, 15 rasberry, 4 blackberry, and 4 blueberry. THis year we are adding more blueberry and blackberry bushes. We have a baby 4 way apple tree that just made it through its first winter. Also, one raised bed garden that we are currently grwing greens in, and adding two more raised beds this week so we can finally do seasonal rotating and have soemthing constantly growing. In addition to being a vegetarian my daughters and i are allergic to wheat/gluten and dairy. i do a lot ot canning and homemade cooking. My 3 yr old has high functioning autism and the 21 monther is just a typical terroristic stubborn toddler. I am always looking for new food and snack ideas. I use a lot of recipes and ideas from the super baby food book. My husband is a die hard carnivore and as long as he does not cook bacon i am generally without temptation. We do not make the kids eat meat. They do run straight to daddy if he cooks bacon though. It a curse they get from their southern born and bread mother who was raised on pork fat. Well i look forward to learning from this group....sorry this is long....the kids are actually letting me type.... Blessings, unita
