Hey Renee - Thanks for bringing this up. About a year ago, I searched BK's

website for french fry ingredients and they contained " chicken flavoring " which

they said was some sort of amino acid from the chicken. When you put up this

post, I did some more searching and found that they actually did used to put it

in their fries, but recently changed their ingredients. Now the fries are free

of animal products.

that it is vegetarian - I don't hear any groups promoting it anymore.  But

according to their website all the fries ingredients look vegetarian to me.  And

there is no mention of chicken fat in the fries in the ingredient list.  And BK

also says that they have a " French Fry Only " fryer that fries are always cooked

separately in.  It seems like BK does a good job accomodating vegetarians --

vegans not so much-- but they have mac/cheese, french fries, apple fries, veggie

burger, side salad that are all lacto-ovo vegetarian friendly.

" Choli " is from animal - just remember " cholesterol " to help you remember which

is which.

ingredient was " beef fat " - probably the shortening I'm guessing.

dressing just to be safe. Also, some Italian dressings contain cheese.

It is important to note that even though the fries no longer contain this

additive that the oil used for other things is often used in the preparation of

them. My daughter used to work for Burger King told me that this often happens.
