Guest guest
You all just don't know how much your responses have brought hope to my friend who was literally at the end of her rope in dealing with her high-functioning autistic but bright child, who the school system wanted to " dope up " to conform to the rest of the world. Thank you ever so much for sharing!
Guest guest
Just give her the email from the other respondent re: the meds (nimsisland?? Sorry, I can't remember exactly!). Have her enlarge it, post it on the fridge, tape it to her windshield in her car: there is no drug treatment for autism. We can only assume the school psychologist was thinking of treating attention issues. I just can't believe a professional would condone this, and I certainly hope no MD would go along with doping up an autistic child. Ugh. j. ________________________________ " admartin5 " <admartin5 Friday, April 10, 2009 3:26:05 PM Help for Autistic Child Responses You all just don't know how much your responses have brought hope to my friend who was literally at the end of her rope in dealing with her high-functioning autistic but bright child, who the school system wanted to " dope up " to conform to the rest of the world.
