Guest guest
The recipe is from PETA's Compassionate Cook: CASHEW GRAVY Blend together 2 cu water, 1/2 cu cashews, 2 tbsp cornstarch, 2 tbsp onion powder, and 1/2 tsp of salt. Heat on the stove top until thickened. I used roasted unsalted cashews and a little bit less onion powder, and it made lots of very thick, very tasty gravy. Next time, I will use less cornstarch b/c I like my gravy a little runny (for biscuits, at least), but otherwise, it was perfect.
