Guest guest Posted April 30, 2009 Report Share Posted April 30, 2009 book: deceptivley delicous by, jessica seindfield non stick spray 1 cup firmly packed light or dark brown sugar 3/4 cups vegan margerine (my version) 2 large egg whites 2 tsp pure vanilla extract 1 15 oz can drained and rinsed chickpease 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 3/4 cups chopped walnuts (optional) 3/4 cups raisins 2 cups all purpose flour 1/2 cup old fashioned oats 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt preheat oven to 350 beat sugar and margerine until smooth,beat in eggs and vanilla, then chickpeas and chocolate, add flour,oats, and baking soda and salt. mix on low until thick dough forms. drop by spoonfools on baking sheet, press gently to flatten, bake until golden brown 11-13 minutes. ilove this book and every thing can be made vegan and wheat free excpet the few recipes with meat in it. unita Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But, I have tried other beans (white beans) in recipes, and they're a good binder and add protein.
