Guest guest
I live in Austin, Texas where this report has been on the news lately. It is a federal law, so it should affect everyone all over the U.S. I know it's not about food, but I know a large percentage of the parents in this group would be interested. <http://www.kvue.com/news/top/stories/010609kvue-kids_lead-me.466a87af.html> http://www.kvue.com/news/top/stories/010609kvue-kids_lead-me.466a87af.html I completely understand the problem with lead, but to tell me I can't resale my child's clothing that I bought that should already be certified lead-free, And to tell me I have to certify that the product is lead-free before I sale it is the government restricting my rights!! And the resale shops - this could put them out of business! And the resale shops are the small business owners that I love to support!! So, instead of giving my money to a small business that promotes recycling and saves me money, the government wants me to shop at some large retail shop that has already run lots of small business into the ground, buy their New products from China that they can't certify as lead-free, then when I am done with it either throw it in a landfill that is already too big, or give it away and not make any money from it. This is crazy!! <http://www.kvue.com/news/top/stories/010609kvue-kids_lead-me.466a87af.html> Sorry I went off, but this really gets me going!
