I totally LOVE nutritional yeast which is actually yeast that is no longer

alive. You wouldn't want to eat live yeast, and my litties and dogs love it,

too!

KerriCary <english wrote: I get a good vitamin B12

boost every morning by eating a slice of

whole grain toast with Marmite (nutritional yeast extract). It takes

some getting used to, but once you *do* get used to it, you're addicted.

Toast the bread, add some olive oil spread (or butter, if you're

lacto), and then spread a thin layer of Marmite on top. Have a glass

of orange juice with it. The opposites are lovely--warm salty toast,

and cold sweet juice... yum!

Marmite is packed with B12 as well as folic acid. It's an excellent

vegetarian/vegan food that's been used in Europe and Australia for

ages (although in Australia it's called vegemite).
