Guest guest
I have no experience with this maker but I did note it makes only a quart at a time. I make a full batch once a week in my SoyaJoy and add water to make it a full half gallon. Holds me for about a week of cereal. I use a half measure of soybeans plus quarter barley plus a quarter oat groats and like the flavor fine for how I use it. What combinations have some of you experimented with? does anyone have any good uses for the okara that results from making soy milk? I usually add it plus a mashed banana to my pancakes (1 c flour, 1 c corn meal, 1 c oat meal plus about 2 T each of sugar, baking soda, and baking powder). When we have molasses I add about 1/4 c of that. Add enough water to make a good pancake batter consistency. We used to buy frozen okara patties at our coop (before the price went so high). does anyone have recipes for making patties using the leftover okara? _____ On Behalf Of ERB Monday, November 26, 2007 6:57 PM VRGparents new soy maker? I know everyone loves their SoyaJoy, but I've seen a new product, Soyabella, which seems to have all of the good features of the SoyaJoy, a couple of new features (such as a fully-enclosed heating element, which suggests even easier cleaning), and it is a LOT prettier sitting on the counter! Does anyone have an opinion on this new soymilk maker? Liz
Guest guest
I use okara, a bit of ketchup, and some oats and seasonings, make them into nuggets, roll them in some breading, then saute for " nuggets " for the kids - Bob Crovo<bcrovo < > Tuesday, November 27, 2007 9:20 AM RE: new soy maker?
