Jasen B. Shaw, the Arlington wildlife importer at the center of thebiggest animal-cruelty case in the U.S., now has another label:fugitive.Federal officials have issued an arrest warrant for Shaw, 37, owner ofthe pet and wildlife wholesaler U.S. Global Exotics. It was there, ina Dec. 15 raid, that agents seized more than 26,000 animals – manydead or dying.U.S. Global Exotics, for years a multimillion-dollar operation, latershut down. The surviving animals were placed with zoos, sanctuariesand rescue groups.
